Here is a selection of what you need to start the Palestinian art of Tatreez.
Scheepjes Candy Floss is a new mercerised embroidery cotton that is comparable in quality and thickness the DMC Perle Cotton No.8 that is frequently used. Stranded cotton can also be used (please note, the colours of the stranded cotton are not currently all uploaded to the website but you can see them all on the dmc website, dmc.com)
Waste canvas is used as a grid when you want to stitch directly onto fabric or garments, it is tacked on then the strands are pulled out on completion.
The threaders are not necessary but are handy if you have trouble threading a needle.
